Forgive an old rocker for intruding, but it might be worth learning proper notation also. I didn't, and wished I had. I also wished I'd tried to learn the piano. You can go a lot further, and be more employable, if you do.

All I have to say is, if I bought tickets for Radiohead no unforseen circumstances would stand in my way. Thanks for the information though, good to know about ViaGoGo.

Hey molorsunch,

Anuj doesn't mention it but A# and Bb are the same note. Same as F# and Gb are the same notes and so on.

Just thought I'd mention cause a lot of people get confused with the whole sharps/ flats thing

I think the Fender Stratocaster is probably the most copied electric guitar of all time. The interesting thing about the Strat is that it was designed for quick production.
The belt sanders that where around at the time the strat came into being, had radiuses close to the curves on the strat. I really like what you've written here. Thorough but short and to the point

hi
dont get confused... over in the phrygian mode i have taken a G major scale and not a C major scale as example and thats why it has a F sharp..
if i would have been in C major scale then there would be no sharp in F..
try your self and u will derive the same formulae

Hi
The seven notes of guitar are as following
A B C D E F G

Now you have sharps and flats of every note leaving B AND E
so i have A Sharp --A#
and A flat--Ab
similarly for C, D, F ,G

But i dont have B&E sharp(there flats exist though)
